Pellet Smoked Pork Loin

About the Recipe

You do not have to spend tons of time or money to make a delicious, moist pork dinner that is sure to knock your socks off!

Ingredients

  • 1 pork loin

  • Yellow mustard or binder of choice

  • Killer Hogs the BBQ Rub/or seasoning of choice

  • Smoked chipotle powder

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat smoker to 225 degrees


Step 2

Lightly coat the exterior of the pork loin with the binding agent of choice


Step 3

Season the exterior on all sides of the pork loin with the rub of choice and finish with a light coating of the chipotle powder


Step 4

Place on smoker and smoke until internal temp of 125 degrees


Step 5

Turn smoker temp up to 450-500 to build crust (there may be a lot of smoke if your smoker is not clean or grease tray covered)


Step 6

Continue cooking until internal temp reaches 145 degrees, pull and rest for 10 minutes before slicing




My thoughts of this recipe...

I had seen this done on a famous BBQ YouTubers page and as most of the other foods I cook go, I had to try it. It was relatively simple, and I have made a bunch of these as it is quick and simple and has leftovers as well that we reheat in the air fryer. The final step of cranking the smoker up to get the hard crust is not necessary, but I feel it gets you a better look and taste.
