About Me

I have always enjoyed BBQ. I have had it from all over the US. From KC's Rib Shack when they opened in Litchfield, to BBQ places in Hawaii, to Smitty's in Lockhart TX. I love the fact I can create my own food that I can share with others and they keep asking for more!

When COVID hit, I  started watching tons of YouTube videos with people making great BBQs in their backyards. My amazing wife Kate convinced me to do the same because I had been making some really good stuff on my first pellet smoker. She is instrumental in what I do with Granite State BBQ, and I couldn't do this without her!

I like to keep expanding my knowledge of BBQ and cooking by watching tons of cooking shows/videos and reading books about how I can keep working to get better. If you want to start making BBQ, pull the trigger, get a smoker and start having some fun!
